An interesting read from my hometown newspaper (Stevens Point, WI). Unfortunately our state senator is one of the 14 Dems who are camping out in Illinois.
The most interesting part for me is where she says that some of the Dems' families were traumatized by the state troopers going to their houses to see if they were home.
Traumatized, really? A policeman knocking on your door can traumatize your children? I can't see any clearer evidence that they're trying to play the role of the victimized hero.

What's significant, as Jacobson points out, is that few outside of the labor movement participated. There is no wellspring of support for labor on these issues among the general public which should further isolate the protesters and fleebaggers in Wisconsin, Indiana, and anywhere else they try this "run and hide" tactic.

Thanks. I think we may have silenced our opposition in the Union threads... glad I found those two Politfact articles, they were great and full of fun facts.

A couple of my Tea Party friends went to Raleigh on Saturday, there wasn't much of a turnout for either side. However, one friend noted, is that the Tea Party only had a couple of days to mobilize while the opposition had been planning it apparently since 2008. Wow!

I really don't have an opinion good or bad about unions in the private sector... but these public sector jackasses just make my blood boil the more research I do.
