meh i wouldn't get a dell... too much money for too little.

I haven't done a whole lot of looking around and Dell was where I looked real breifly.

The one I had customized was only $275. It had a 4 GB hard drive and 1 GB of RAM. It also shipped with Ubuntu.

What are the specs of the ASUS you went with?

Friend has one and loves it. He watches his movies and taped TV shows on it in the train coming into work in the morning.

I've been thinking about getting a portable hard drive to store pictures on when I'm on a trip. Good ones cost $200+. So I'll be getting one with a 160g HD and an 8.9" screen.
