    Excellent, Duke.

New logo I photoshopped for my local tea party group. The one I did a few years ago was robbed by other tea party groups so we decided to do a new one.

If we are to take on Rand's little challenge, we should discuss it here rather than look uncoordinated . . . which we look right now. Taking on the task of how to change a state's taxation and governing activities is very complex.

For me to get involved, I would define terminology first. That would set the tone and show Rand how we see things differently and judging by how's he's guiding the discussion, he sees things very differently so we need to educate him a little and while managing the discussion a little (lot?) more on our terms.

I would start by defining the words "cut," "default," and "wealthy" . . . mainly because I was already doing that in my personal life.
Here are the first two (feel free to comment as they are almost finalized but need some tweaking)
          http://www.unrealmediaservices.net/C...TheWordCut.pdf
          http://www.unrealmediaservices.net/C...ordDefault.pdf
The third one can be found in my response to Duke here: Cain's Lair Forums

Overall, it may take 100 posts to get things the way we like them . . . assuming we can agree here in this group. But I have a feeling it may well be worth it.

          Food for thought.

          Peace,
          Nomad

Nomadicus I appreciate you input on this, I'm in the middle of getting a building contract together so I can't get into the details at this time.

Rands post is really hard to get into when you don't know what an individual states strengths and weakness are. How the hell can I say who the governor should be?

I was hoping to get the point across that the rhetoric about taxing the rich will do nothing to fix the problem and the majority of the solution will have to be in the form of spending cuts.

I personally wouldn't mind TAX REFORM but the same old BS of increasing the tax at level X and above will just fail.

I tend to imagine Rand wants something from us. Not sure what. Oh well. Notice how well I documented a couple of recent posts and both Rand and Mapes have ignored them? Not to say they won't respond in a day or two, but the more well grounds facts and logic we present, the less they have a leg to stand on and I don't think they have one at all. lol

the fact of the matter is that large governments are bound to fail at some point, more government can't get us out of this situation.

As always Nomadicus your ability to put the numbers down is extremely powerful.

I gave a shot across the bow to Rand regarding "academia" He has no clue how a small group like the ISS has had a major influence on academia and its complete acceptance of Marxism and Socialism. I started to get into its history, but Rand would ignore it or worse so I stopped.

But count on this, Tea Party people are no more religious than the Founding Fathers . . . what does that say about the others?

Good job, Nomadicus! I just finished Breitbart's Righteous Indignation book a few nights ago. He has a whole chapter on acadamia/liberalism and it's history. If anyone has a Kindle here, I can loan the book out for two weeks if you would like to read it.
