I have been wait 30mins on the connetions screen and I still can't get to play I have checked my firewall I wonder if it because I using Vista ?

No, same issues here on WinXp.

Guess the server selection is still buggy. Though its 100x times faster than BF2142.

Keep clicking. The browser shows empty seats (i.e. "32/36") but it is still full. All you can do is keep trying. It will take some time.

I found it a lot easier to get into the TDM server. In fact i never even managed to get into the VCTF server once.
