    Beta Steam UI?

    i didnt know where to put this but if an admin knows of a better suited place please replace it plz :]

    i found that theres a new beta steam interface, i personally like it but its up to you and your tastes, heres a picture and how to get it

    there is another link that you have to click that goes straight to your steam and gives you the option to opt in for this beta. hope you guys will try it and hopefully like it :]

    The menus don't show what's written for me o_? are you experiencing that too?

          I'ma try it- but if it still doesn't maximize I'm gonna be really pissed.

          Also, they lost mine, and a couple thousands' users friends list....

            The lists are back to normal as far as I know.

            I liked it but it's still with a lot of bugs, so I changed back.

            It's WAY more clean and for people like me who own half the steam store the new library is simply amazing!

              btw it's using 100mb ram instead of the usual 50mb, which I thought was too much in the first place for a chat client.

                yes! lol i have 50~ games and seeing the new library and how it functions is so great, i love the boxes just as much as i like when i click a random game under the seach form of the library, everything changes to that game, though it does take a while to load i think it well become better once the ui gets tweaked with a bit more

                      Yeah I have like 111 games, and I could create many categories and see who also owns them so I can either talk to them about it or invite them to a game.

                      The chat function still needs MUCH improvement imo. It should allow you to separate people into groups and send many msgs at the same time.

                          Yeah well all those issues with it led me to format my computer. It was an epic failure of a trial. Lost my friends list, it had to install MW2 ALL OVER AGAIN! It showed a 11GB update lol. Then I tried to install and it didn't work, then while googling I decided to remove WMP 12 cuz it's awful. Then I ended up uninstalling WMP12 and couldn't install WMP11... then I decided to reinstall. As my friends would say, and have said "COOL STORY BRO!". But here I am with a brand new formated system and the good ol' steam... well it's still crap but it's less chunky.

                            I like it. Only complaint is it's slower than than slow. I tried playing DoD, having two steam chats, and using the steam web browser and all it did was lag me in game, or fail to bring up the steam overlay.

                            Thankfully I almost never talk to people, so the new organization is well worth it for me.

                              i like teh look of it but yet very buggy. it keep crashing on me. i'm keeping the old version in the meantime. till valve fixes it.
