Engineer Equipment: Your Primary Target?

Whenever I notice one or more sentries preventing my team from advancing, I usually switch to demo or spy to take it out. I love being able to help my team move forward and it's an awesome feeling when your team has been held back for a few minutes or more by a sentry and when you take it out your team is able to advance For me, I'll be playing any class and if I see a sentry going up I just get this determined mischievous look on my face before switching to demo or spy

How about you? Are you as mean to engineers as I am? Or do you prefer to play another class to hold the line until the sentry is taken out?

If i'm going up against a engy it really depends....Dispenser is usually one of my first targets, followed up by the sentry and then the teleporter. See, here's the reasoning... A engy can keep a sentry up longer with a dispenser than he can without one.

Don't forget about those teleporters! It's a real pain when you take down a sentry and engy, only to find a heavy teleport in and clear you all out!

I usualy am playing a demo or spy so i dont tend to swich but contradictory to what u said gene i aim for the engi first, then its all over.

I am playing as demo all the time anyway so I do much damge to sentries. Sentry is my primary target usually. It is the most immediate threat so it must go.

Only time I get that determined "he has to go" look is when I get sniped a lot. Only reason I don't give in to the urge is because there are usually 4 snipers already (3 of which usually are doing absolutely nothing) and 5 wont help the team.

I always try to target the Engineer's equipment. And I love to take out Engineers while they are setting up. Even when I play sniper I try to destroy any engineering equipment I see.
And it is fun to put your sniper crosshairs head high, above a teleporter.

im usually in the catagory of the one that placed the sentry there that holds the other team back for a minuite or 2 .

but i usually try and kill the engi first then the sentrys are easy too kill by anyone.
unless im soldier or demo then i just destroy the sentrys first.

I normally the engie you're trying to take out. However when i go Demo it's always Dispenser, tele exit, sentry for me. I find it to be the most effective order.

Almost impossible to kill a sentry gun when the Engi is right behind it repairing. So take out the Engi first if possible.

Care to post how many hours played? I've only got about 28 total engie hours and it's about the same amount as the next two classes combined.

Heavy, Demo, Soldier, Sniper... I've killed engi stuff with all of them.

Destroyed Dispenser 71,108 times
Destroyed a Sentry gun 138,558 times

So yes, I'm a huntin Engi Equipment.
I don't care how many times I die, as long as I get the results.
Always the sentry first if unattended. That's why my ranking actually went down from last weekend, as I WILL get my objective, no matter what.

Then again, I have built 139,929 sentry guns. So Engi does get some lovin back.

And I STILL have more Medic hours than enything else.

I like playing pyro and soldier o_? I know it's not typical, but I can work with that and I suck at the other classes so xD

Spies are the uber Engi haters, and I just suck at spy.

For abit, played Engi alot, but now we actually have an over abundance of engi's. Guess it runs in cycles. And I'd just learned some of the fancy Engi Jumping tricks, special places too.

Hey ObiTroy, I never said I was the best computer guy.
Admittedly, since I've only played TF2 since Cain brought it back, it SHOULD have dawned on me that those nos. were totally beyond thunderdome for one player.
