Why do I lose points in hlxstats?

There are few things to do in this game more fun than setting 6+ people on fire at the same time. The best part is you know what their chat is like based on when it happens to your team: "Blow me out!" "Heal me!!!" "Help!" "Ouch."

Even better--the late death messages from those who couldn't save themselves in time.

i haven't played in awhile, but I seemed to have the uncanny ability to get myself well behind enemy lines. At that point I just torch away...snipers, poor helpless medics, all the people who aren't on the front lines.

Feels right.

I got behind to the enemy and into the spawn point a couple of times last night... Torched the Teleporter's, torched the people coming out of spawn. Most just run back inside, which is fine.
I'm a happy pyro.

OK I tweaked the setting so the top player only loses 1/4 of his points to a lower ranked player...

Let's try that for a while.

And I think we have tweaked the points so Medics get pts for healing...

i'm still losing 50pts and something of (-12) along the lines. what does that mean?

Thanks for that clarification, I was watching while healing last night and wasnt seeing anything show up. Then mystery points would show up with no associated notification.

Cain, did you turn off all losses? I see that players are getting points and then a "[0]" in there.

Just wondering. For what it's worth I liked the first tweak you did (where we are only losing a portion of the points). Without losing points it's simply a playtime issue...when someone loses point those of us trailing them can hunt them down to make catching them easier.

Bottom line...it doesn't really matter to me...I'm just glad to have a 1st class server on which to play!

Let's split the difference between Full and 0 and do 1/2.

You know what I find funny about this all. Back in my eGO days, I asked them to revise the points system because we were getting about 3 complaint threads per week. They told me you couldn't adjust them.


And they wonder why I left... when people don't tell the truth to someone trying to fix a community problem.

Cain's Lair truly has no BS and while I don't join you guys in TF2, I'm still glad to be a part of the community for sure!
