Well, maybe one should try and figure out what a series is about before stepping into Volume 3? Perhaps? Just an idea.

The first two were RPG's. They changed the gaming world, awesome. So any real reviews? Yours was almost a review Phantom, just void of a fleshing.

@Rand, Why would I play the old games when the so called "best in the series" is released? Who plays Far Cry, when Far Cry 2 is released? I was just disappointed that I bought into the hype. Can you honestly tell me right now that you find this game better than you expected?

Yes, I can. I just finished an almost 4 hour set, and it felt like 1, and I'm annoyed that I have to go to bed (late) for work tomorrow. It's quite good so far. And it's light years better than Call of Duty 5's beta.

Even aside from the graphics, which are great, it's got a lot of the old elements of Fallout 1 and 2 in there, including humor. It's got lots of choices, and if you play a shadier character, it's even got someone you can grab to follow you around like a lackey (I'm too goody-two-shoes for him right now), which makes me think there will be others. I've only explored 3 locations, including Megaton, the abandoned town next to the vault, and the elementary school, but it's easy to see how people can get sucked into finding the other 97 or so.

Phantom, people played Far Cry when it came out, not necessarily now. Same for Fallout 1 and 2. Most people don't buy into the middle of a series based only on the hype they hear without knowing or learning something about that series. If nothing else, pretty much every review of Fallout 3 is going to mention the RPG aspects of 1 and 2.

Of course, since you obviously made it clear you did not BUY Fallout 3, what does it matter? Move on to some other illegal game on your system. All you lost was some time.

well thought of answer if I may say. As for the whole legal and illegal issue, any game that didn't provide a demo I download, play, and if I liked it, I would buy it. I bought Bioshock and Call of Duty 4 right after the demos along with FIFA 09. Far Cry 2 and this one didn't provide a demo so I decided to check it out before wasting 50 bucks.

P.S. I don't mean to burst your bubble people, I know all of you are extra excited. BUT this is just extra awful for me, an FPS fan...
And this is why I want a demo.

Nothing like a 8GB demo to find out what a game is like :P

I'm just sitting here right now waiting for my closest Gamestop to open up so I can grab it, of course then I have to get back to work.....

Translation - You stole them just as if you'd walked into Best Buy and stuck it in your pocket. Since you didn't like Fallout 3 you obviously deleted it after you "checked it out" right. How about Far Cry 2? Did you run right out and buy the retail version after you reviewed it?

Review - If you liked Fallout 1 or 2 you'll like #3. If you like Oblivion you'll like Fallout 3. Pretty much if you like RPG's you'll like Fallout 3. If you liked Spore you better put your credit card away.

Far cry 2 I deleted after 2 days... lame game as I said before. and "stole" is such an unkind word, I prefer sample, like you sample food in a supermarket

Check out the games I have, only CoD4 I demo, not keep

Edit by Duke: I don't think we need to see your list of stolen goods.

I thouhgt that it was understood that it would be like Oblivion in many ways. Ilove Oblivion and I think I'm going to love this too.

Downloading games via torrent is a federal crime, advertising you do it on a public forum where some members are in law enforcement is bloody genius!

I think Federal crimes which result in federal prison should be taken seriously, don't you?
