I tried to input some codes from the console for offline play but they don't work ... what a stupid idea !!!! Codes work for ONLINE but not OFFLINE play.


I then tried to create my own listen server and toy ariund, ohh, but nooo, I need a second player to even START the game. OK, there's a code for single player online game .. but by this time I'm a bit frustrated.

I'm not good at it so I don't want to join anyone's game and ruin it. I'm the rare guy that stays offline rather than look like a n00b and join a game and get my team toasted due to my mistake.

I'd love to give it a try but things like above frustrate me to no end.

Just set the difficulty to 'easy' and don't play as medic. Also, many of the fully automatic weapons have a little bit of auto-aim to help you, so choose these when selecting weapons!

If you follow these I'm sure you will do just fine playing online.

Thanks recon, ive been playing around with that in offline mode, its pretty fun but a bit wonky.

I finally got around to play the game. I must say how I hate that obnoxious awful camera angle. Reminds me of the days playing Tomb Raider on the the original Playstation. You try to do something and for some unknown reason, the camera angle moved. It needs to be a fixed camera angle and stay put.

It gets repetitive quite easily. And even at full hd. I think the viewport is rather too limited for my taste.

I'm having a bad time with the controls. I want WASD like in a FPS. When I press W I want to go in the direction I'm facing, not North.

This is what annoys me most about these games. Everyone knows the PC is infinitely configurable compared to a console, so why do the control buttons need to be hard coded ??? I have NEVER, EVER used WASD in a game (thats why you never saw me playing BF2/2142 around here) and its hard for me to want to try just for this game.
I enjoy it because its an offline shooter that I can quit when I suck, but I find the online experience to be maddeningly frustrating knowing that I am not up to speed on what to do to survive.

Ahh hell, its free .... I can't complain.
