When u update Fallout 3 with the new patch log on to Live and you can buy the game there this what I did it cost me 800 MS points

Yes it cost money and you have to buy the add by MS live severs and no i'm not using Steam

You have to use Games for Windows Live to purchase and install the content. The patch made GfW a mandatory element, but now you have to register with them, associate your account, buy points, etc.

It was annoying as hell.
