How does this affect someone that only buys games on steam.

nothing, you can buy mw2 over steam or buy a physical media. Steam will be a program that you will need. (I think cause of Vac) Kinda like the days when you needed to install gamespy browsers except; IWnet will be doing the matchmakingOriginally posted by Guile View PostComment

That's BS... If the server tools aren't available, the game will just crash... And I'm seriously reconsidering to not buying it right now...
