It has a lot of recoil true. But, you can compensate by kneeling, going prone and or pushing your mouse in the opposite direction of the recoil.

I guess I'm the only Bazooka/Panzershrek man here than...especially on flash. And the carbine is to die for, I wish it was a primary weapon.

I usually play either Assault or Support, although I will occasionally I will play the other classes. I am a horrible sniper, though.

The fact is I'm a lazy support player in most games, its rare when you catch me out for flags !
but for close combat the Thompson is a must.

You're not alone.
I tried using the lighter assault weapons, as opposed to the heavier support, and the speed/less recoil bonus just does not make up for damage to me. I love the BAR and the Stg44.Comment
