Patch 1.2 broke my game...

    Patch 1.2 broke my game...

    After installing patch 1.2, i clicked on the multiplayer shortcut, and it says CoDWaW.exe could not be found. so i look, and sure enough the patch DELETED THE FILE!!!! So 1st thing i do, uninstall and reinstall and patch to 1.1, that works, patch to 1.2 (after re-DLing the file from a diff mirror) SAME THING!!!! So i check the Call of Duty, World at War forums and it looks like this is a big problem. and of course the treyarch devs are on vacation after releasing the patch....

    Any help would be much appreciated....

    I am seriously considering either suing if i have grounds to, or writing a REALLY nasty letter to ALL of the devs.

    Try dling the patch from another site and try again. I had no problem with the instalation.

      ive already tried 2 of the sites, and the rest of them just link back to the 1st one i tried... so idk what to do anymore...

          I had no problems with the install of patch 1.2... keep trying.

              Where did you download the patch from? I download my patch from Planet Call of Duty - News, Screenshots, Previews, Reviews, Guides

              XP or vista?

                Xp, and ive tried several sites and uninstall/reinstalled the game 3 times now so.... If gamespot doesnt work i will try there caddys

                  I don't have Xp so I can't really help. You said, you clicked on the multiplayer shortcut, and it says CoDWaW.exe could not be found. Have you try clicking on the non shortcut?

                    the file that the shortcut links to is gone, i did a search and it came up empty

                      that happened to me once when i installed patch 1.1 it said i was missing a file i think it is from the site u download try downloading it from gamespot it work 4 me so give it a try

                        Try saving a copy of the executable in another place and add it back in after you finish updating.

                            actually it may be a while, i accidentally deleted the installer file and now i have to re-DL it, 5.5hrs to go...

                              use obit downloader it takes around 10 minutes
                              instead of 5 hours
