Can you provide me with links saying that? I've been using it for years with no problems what so ever.

The only thing spybot cleans up that might harm anything is registry entries. I wouldn't use it on a Vista machine since I haven't seen a update in a while.

About spybot, it was a WYPR Radio thing. You can look on there website for it, it was about 14 months ago so it's probally not on there.

Yea, I didn't even see a search on there. I'd say spybot is just fine to use. I've personally been using it for years with no problems with basic spyware removal functions.

Since it's Vista, are you running with admin privileges?
Is PB running? There should be 2 services running when you look at Task Manager.

it's amazing what task manager can tell you... you should have pbservicea.exe and pbserviceb.exe running when you try to run CoD4.
