Need Help

TRying to join any server. Says Key code in use. Try reconnecting later. Whats the deal with that?? Did someone some how get my code?? Worked fine for the whole morning.

Try rebooting your PC.

Did you buy the game via Steam? I did and sometimes this happens (maybe once a week). Closing Steam and reopening it seems to fix the problem, though I don't know why it occurs.

Edit: I also sometimes have to wait for up to 30 seconds while the game is validating the CD key before it lets me join a server.

No I have the CD, but all is fixed and no problems since that day. Thanks for the info guys.

next time i'd try closing punkbuster a and b services from task manager, and then when you re-start CoD4 it'll re-start the services for you, could fix the problem in the future if it happens again.
