Well, my friends have sucked me into playing with them on the 360 version so I had to go buy it today. Don't worry I'll probably be back though once I get too annoyed by the 10 year olds talking garbage the whole match(the regular player base of xbox live). But other than that, it's pretty fun. In my opinion its much easier than the PC version for obvious reason (no keyboard/mouse).

It's more of a tactical experience... when you get a few guys together you rely on teamwork and strategy and such. Playing these maps on the PC with 40-50 people feels more like farming imho.Originally posted by Afflikt3dYou'll be back once you realize how "fun" it is plating with only 12 players at a time. woo hoo.....

If by getting a few guys together you mean getting a few guys together who know how to play, can communicate and are willing to work as a team, sure, that's a lot of fun.Originally posted by nikaiosIt's more of a tactical experience... when you get a few guys together you rely on teamwork and strategy and such. What you'll end up most of the time though is a dozen snipers and noobtubers all shooting at the same targets.

It would be that he/we aren't playing with you at the moment... no need to bash the 360Originally posted by AngryHamsterI dont know what makes me more sad-Originally posted by dpjames3Well, my friends have sucked me into playing with them on the 360 version so I had to go buy it today. Re: Heading over to the 360 version.
Just so you know- its just my opinion that stinks, and because I dont really intend to convert anyone, it makes it really mine and mine alone.
It would be that he/we aren't playing with you at the moment... no need to bash the 360
I personally do not care for consoles- and I say that with knowing that people think I do because I am into online games and gaming in general. People keep giving them to me and I do in fact own everything from a PS 1 all the way up to a PS3, both the XBOX and the 360, and recently I recieved a Wii from one of my customers as a thank you for the good business we did togeather.
Since the Atari 7800, I have not bought a single console platform- though I have also had the seg, satrun, nintendo, nintendo 64, and more and etc.
Of them all, I like the functionality of the XBOX 360, the graphics of the PS3, and the simple quick-fix pleasure of the Wii.
But nothing compares to the complete control, access, and flexibilty that the platform in my computer offers. And thats partly because only a computer can grab something from each one of these consoles and put it into one box [actually I do that when I buy the components and enable the technology- but lets not split hairs]
With that said, part of my opinion suffers from the fact that there exists a XBOX Live gaming ladder that, no matter what you are paying for, lacks the level of control.
In addition to the fact that I already pay my ISP for access to the internet, why should I also have to pay microsoft for access to that same medium I already own via that service? Its free revenue for microsoft and all they do is make the simple adapters to access the content, which they already forced the game developers to provide (and charrged them a fee in doing so on top of a percent of the sales revenue).
It's like paying microsoft a fee to just drive my vehicle- which at some point if they ever control an OS platform in an advanced technology car- I would expect them to do.
So you see, not only do I enjoy knowing that idiots can be controlled via player run content servers on the web at communities like Cains Lair- not mock controlled via a platnum gold silver BS membership service, but I also like knowing that when I fire up my computer-- I can only what I want- not something Microsoft made me pay for when I bought the game, when I bought the console, when I bought the LIVE membership, the ancillary products(hard drives, memory, wireless, and etc).
For now- all I pay for that is microsoft is my OS- other than that I avoid them like a bad flu virus.
Just so that we are clear these are the things that make XBOX 360 suck, and why I am sorry that anyone uses this product
1) the Pay for Play environment that usually locks content and asks for an additional 29.99 to get to the really great content.
2) Closed platform - no comment its an obvious problem
3) Limited graphical appeal - my opinion supported by many threads of content found on the web.
5) It bears the microsoft name.
This wasnt supposed to be a flame, but I felt that I need to justify it. My wife like the Wii- she can all she wants - you can like what you want too
Shoot me in the head in COD4 if you sont like what I just said-
