I went to install it yesterday and wouldn't you know, my 15 month old has scratched the CD enough so it gets to about 60 percent then stops on one of the intro/vid files. I'll try a CD scratch thingie after a bit, but I can't honestly see buying a new disc.

Could someone make you a copy of the disc?

I'm trying it again for giggles. I tried it yesterday about 4 times in each drive. First time I put it the disc in it wouldn't read, I looked at it and saw he scratched and mouthed the heck outta the disc. I cleaned it up and it read but not enough. I got some polish (an old trick I learned back in the day) to make it more readable but it hung up on that one file. I'll try again. I have all legitimate games, so I do in fact have the CD. . Hopefully it works this time. We'll see.

Edit, \setup\data\main\video\icbm_load.bik is the file it is stopping on, about 60 percent. Almost past the 'cancel' tab.

Polish it some more! Non-abrasive toothpaste also does the trick.

either that or since you legally bought the game you could just get a copy from somewhere and use your legally purchased Key

To Fierry : Get a bigger harddrive then

To Rye : Download it from anywhere on internet and you'll be good to install it and play with your legit key. The first week I had cod4 I had it downloaded and pirated, but when I received it on christmas, I only change the CD Key and everything was fine after. Thinks about it, only 5 gb to download to save 50$ :P
