I gota problem...

I keep crashing to desktop or kicked by Punkbuster for a "com fail #132. I ran PB setup but that didn't help. My last resort will be to scrap it all and reload BF2 and all mods/patches from scratch. I am always amazed at how a progrm that has been running perfectly for so long can suddenly take a crap like this.

I have had a problem similar to yours before. played CoD4 from the day it was released perfectly then suddenly some day in Feburary its crashing or locking up unexpectingly. for me Vista caused it.

No kidding. I cant get BF2142 to work either. It ran perfectly and then nothing. I wish I could help. I suggest doing a reinstall, but you already know that.

Had similar problems so I gave up and deleted the game. I wonder if they let the gremlins out starting before they release BF3

Welcome to the world of EA. Your best bet is a fresh install (Sorry to say)

Have you got any new programs running in the background, chat, task viewers, IM, etc?

It turned out to be Punkbuster....go figure. I ran PB Setup and after a shut-down and reboot it's working again.
