Here's where you're contradicting yourselves. You say that half of the team is Recon, and expect that after the cap there would be more players? No. That isn't even logical.

Heres the Server Admin part of the ROE

Severe is defined as (the most applicable definition)

I think it could be argued that limiting the Recon class to four slots per side is not severe.

The rule states that you can limit things just not severely. 4 Recon per side would be at most one quarter of the players which seems about right.

The ROE also states that we can change things as long as it's stated up front

Please can we give this a go. If we get a notification from EA I believe we can claim ignorance and say with a straight face that we didn't think it violated the ROE

Yep, have done the tracers too. You can get like 6 or 8 on one sniper, then after that the oldest one disappears each time a new one is added.

RPGs and CGs can and do lock onto these, at least last time I tried it. I don't pull the trigger to avoid the tk. If only the opposing team could lock on...!

Edit - My interpretation of the ROE is similar to what Mapes posted above. The crux of the matter is definition of "severely limit". 4 / 16 = 25% may not be severe to me, but it will be to one of the k/d whores who doesn't even know how to load another kit, lol.

Agree mapes, however EA isn't just going to stumble across Cain's Lair randomly and de-rank it. It would likely have to be reported by one, or several, discontent players before EA even notices. Then you are right - all that matters is their definition of 'severe'.

yes that is true, it doesnt take one person or complaint to get it deranked.. it'll take a few so, EA will get on it if there is alot of complaints about it.

I agree with MAPES, lets give it a GO, if we get a warning from EA. we'll revert back to the old way.

also, when we "agree" to do the 4 limit recon, we have to put a server msg that states that the recon limit is 4. so players will know, or when they pick a recon class but it is over 4, it should have a message pop up on their screen telling them to pick another class other than the recon, due to maximum recon limit or something.

I actually don't mind being sniped. It's a valid tactic. It just the amount of snipers on my team I mind. Most (not all) seem to hang back and do nothing

Yes, but folks rather get shot 10 times with rockets over 1 sniper shot. The reason being the psychology behind it. They know the snipers are sittin there not doing anything but snipin people who are at least trying to cap bases and are runnin around in the open to accomplish it.

It's a cheap and easy way to run up your stats, nothin else. Everyone else is doin all the work and they just sit there takin the easy shots. Whooopeee.

Looks good at the end of the game score. But everyone knows how they did it. Not a lot of skill involved. Pretty lame to say the least. And didnt help the team. End of story.

And I dont have a lot of fun when there are 7 of em goin at you the whole game. And if you spend much time trying to weed em out, it takes away from the team effort runnin around the hill lookin for em when you could be helpin cap bases.

I think everyone knows how I feel about this so say what you want.
