The mines should be persistent, as should claymores.

I'd even say C4 should be - though only blows if someone picks up your kit and uses the trigger, or shot.


They brag so much about being persistent, yet there are constantly holes like this one.

Claymores had a 2 unit limit. Lay a third and the first disappears. I don't think they changed that, but now their lifetime is infinite. Except, on a crowded server they will eventually get shot by friendlies who wonder what the pretty icon above the claymore means.

Oooof! Did you get those before or is this new? (still a bit before I get home and try the patch-and I'm not feeling super-confident)

This is new. I did get one or two true black screens before where you get nothing and the only way to close the game was via task manager. However, in this crash i can minimise the game and close it via the battlelog game manager. It seems like the game hasn't technically crashed, it's just refusing to load the next map.

Sounds like another patch fail. It is like they want everyone to get a turn with the game crashing.
