I was hoping I could have a BETA Server like we did for many other games, but EA will not allow "Branded" BF3 Beta servers this time around...

The servers will have the provider's name tho...

I won't take the day off BUT I will stay at home until they allow the beta download. Then I'll just leave it running (they say 20 gigs +/-) while at work and then I'll be ready to play

I'll be in on Beta Thursday. Early if I remember to start the massive DL before work, late if not.

The storage space you will need in your drive is 20 gigs... so plan accordingly

Have you read this somewhere?? The Alpha was a little over 2 Gigs as I recall.

20GB is for the ENTIRE game. What people don't realize is that games are tiny 1 or 2 Gigs and the multiplayer maps take the other 12Gigs. That's how COD4 worked. Strip it of maps and it's a 1.2GB game. 500MB is the music and video. Games are tiny. So beta plus one map = 2-3GB. No more.

A dual layer DVD only holds like 8GB IIRC...

I HOPE that they crank up the broad band from there servers to dl it from....anything under 20 mbs a second and its gonna take all day and night to dl lol...the full game that is

So if you are in early beta, you really will have the game by the time the normal beta players even start downloading. I'm banking on that! lol
