BF3 won't support Windows XP

A DICE developer Johan Andersson has tweeted: 'Frostbite 2 is primarily developed for DX11. XP & DX9 is _not_ supported, 64-bit OS is recommended. Lots of time to upgrade if you havent!' Oh well. Windows XP is almost ten years old now, expect this more and more.

Well honeslty, I have my reserves with DICE. They say things and then go back on their word or dont fix em. And their so call map packs releases is a complete joke when its a same map but different game mode. I personally think its a sneaky way to extend the life of the game. Since most members here like BFBC2, I try to watch what I say cause very few others and I do like Black ops and I will not hear the end of it. Its not even worth arguing here about it.


And up to this point. If I get my hopes up with BF3, I will feel more broken promise.

These are the same people that tweets on the downfall of Infinityward. Mod tools (they x that idea cause Frostbite was hack up together for PC), more players (Whoa 32 players), dedicated servers (didnt say it would be limited admin)

Now dont get me wrong. I did had some fun with BFBC2 and not trying to bash DICE or BFBC2. I just feel I was let down with their chosen words


And then there is guru3d.com lol I read a few thing about them on the Genmay forums over at the [H] and didnt think to much about it untill I saw a topic that was posted on the 2nd Battlefield 3: No Win XP Support!! - [H]ard|Forum and guru3d posted as news on the 4th? intresting

All the big game companies have their problems and there were certainly issues with BF2. Hopefully BF3 will have fewer of them, whats important is that it brings about the type of game play that we had in BF2 because that was a blast.

I'd be happy with functional, multi-level VOIP like BF2. Having the weapons feel more like BF2 than BC2 would also be quite awesome. They felt like they actually worked and that you didn't need to pump whole clips into guys COD4 Vanilla-style.

Hold off for a few months of time if you are buying a high end lappy Sandy bridge will bring good things our way but the latest recall has delayed it a bit. My current gaming laptop is a Gateway that i bought in best Buy of all places.
