I'm still working towards a nice PC to play 2142 with you peeps, so give me some time.

If anyone is into it, I do play CS 1.6 and MOHAA

They're old, but still a lot of fun.

Have you tried TF2 or UT3 yet?

I use a laptop, and it's not capable of running the newer, more saphisticated games. TF2 runs off the source engine as I recall and the I know the graphics are too high for my machine. As for UT3... thats out of the question :S

My PC would probably crap itself...

I personally haven't played TF2 but from what i understand pretty much any PC can play it as it's based on quite an old engine.

UT3 might cause some problems, but it does scale well on older machines. Feel free to browse for the system tweaks that are posted in the UT3 section as some of them have provided a lot of people with a good performance increase.

Hmm i think UT3 might not even install. However TF2 is still an option.

                        Welcome!

I'm not sure what the minimum specs are for TF2 (did Valve ever give an "official" word on that? ) but TF2 runs much smoother for me than BF2142 did. Not sure if that was something specific to my setup (perhaps BF2142 just didn't like my video card ) but I think TF2 runs pretty smooth.

                        Glad to have you aboard!
