So if I kill you, I get more points than if I kill a lower ranked player ???

Correct. Point scoring is scaled based on rank. A lower rank player is rewarded for killing a higher rank player with more points.
If the 8th placed person kills me they'll get around 8 versus the 30 for a 6k point person.
I haven't figured it all out yet but yea that's about it.Comment
