When I maxed out everything possible on a PSU calculator I came up with some number in the high 900's. I guess if you had a whole bunch of burners and HDDs going but a quad core and 3 video cards wouldn't require that much.

Didn't you know!?! It's all about the wattage! 2000W will almost certainly make your PC go faster.
