ATI = Great performance + Great price
Nvidia = Great performance + Ugly price

Nvidia dropped the price of that GTX260 from $450 to $275 in a hurry, so they aren't stupid enough to try and price gouge any more once the 4870 started eating its lunch.

Say what you will, they are good at marketing to a degree. If you don't hold a grudge against them for the price gouge, they are comparable in price to the 4870 cards.

I was dead set on a 4870 up until the HUGE price cut, at which point I had to think long and hard about my decision. Having an Nvidia board almost forces me to go Nv this time, even tho I know in my heart I wanted to try ATI.

Put it this way, its a good time to be card shopping, but its one of those 'buy it this week and I guarantee it'll be a good bit cheaper in two weeks' scenarios.

Well I got my Son's new card today and I been give it a test out and I'm happy to say it A nice card Crysis runs great on it and so dose Stalker Clear Skys
