What else is there ? He didn't seem at all satisfied with my answer.

That can not be replied to with anything other than telling him to try it and then ask the question again

        Right... Your "friend"...

Tell your "friend" that the addons and constant attention are awesome. Plus its best to cut as many ties to Microsoft as possible.

Well, lets start with the fact that fewer viruses, spyware, and malware are coded for open source programs then are for windows based programs. Now, lets add on that it is faster to load up and uses less resources then the bloated I.E. that windows tries to sell. Oh, and lets not forget that if tehre is a problem with the program it can be ended without any major problems because it is not tied into any other apps. Unlike windows I.E. which also double's over as the browser windows for oh lets say... your hard drives... or anything else in windows...

I could go on and on, but I won't.

I only care about one reason, really: it's faster.

              In a word: addons.
You can find addons that increase the ease of browsing, make it more secure, eliminate ads, add functionality (like gmail access).

I am a FF3 user as well, but I'm not too sure about your statement above. I went to the same cains lair page in IE7 and it was only using 25MB compared to 70MB that FF uses. (according to the task manager)

The only addons I use for FF are IE Tab, and Tweak Network, because faster fox isn't working yet

So according to that FF3 takes MORE resources than IE7

Hum, well. You are on FF3 compared to FF2, which I am currently using untill most of the add-on's are updated to FF3.

BTW... next time somebody says that I.E. is great to use... show them this.
