I'll have a check for you once i'm back from grocery shopping. I believe it's PDVD 8 Ultra OEM. The Ultra gives you Bluray playback but the OEM give you 2ch audio.

You could drop the CPU to a e2200. I'm not sure what else you could do. This would be a BR/HDDVD player. I doubt you can get one as a standalone for anywhere near this price. And when the drive dies as they always do in the end you just replace that. Remeber that this will also be your main media center. BR/HDDVD isn't the only thing i use mine for. DVD's, Xvid, 1080p MKV.

edit: Hmm the e2200 is more expensive than the e2180 on newegg.
