    EVGA's version of RivaTuner

It would take a hell of a lot to get me to get rind of my beloved RivaTuner but this is interesting. I would hope that this works better then Nivdias Ntune because so far that has had a lot of bugs.

EDIT: Hmmm After reading this on Guru3D I wonder if there is some sort of cooperation. http://www.guru3d.com/newsitem.php?id=6815

Nice find. Will have a look at this once it's past beta.

Will this work with non-eVGA cards?

      Looks cool!

Probably. I know for a fact that Gainwards overclocking solution works on any Nvidia card.

I know LOVE RivaTuner. I have been having continuous issues with my rig the past 3 or 4 weeks. Install drivers, un-install, re-install, play game CTD or reboot.
Finally I installed RivaTuner and found that not only was my video card running a little hot, but that the fan was not running at 100%, even with temps near 90, the fan was only running 70%. So I jacked up the fan to 100% and my temps dropped into the mid 70s, and so far, knock on wood, no crashes for 2 days.
          A change of Pace.

Great to hear Pace. What cards is that? and is it C or F?

              Definitely C, I wouldn't be concerned with 90F.

Gotta love how Nvidia never got the automated fan control working in these cards. I put mine up to 75% while gaming. Currently sitting at 62C with COD4 going.

Paceman I knew you should have cleaned up those wires.

I followed RivaTuners fan profile and I run in the 60's when I have my side fan on which blows air on top of the card. Even during a Crysis session.

I really like Rivatuner and EVGA so I hope it's some kind of cooperation that's going on between them as opposed to some kind of BS.

If the temperature constantly exceeds 90c I would suggest setting the card up to be replaced through warranty replacement. Please email us back if you have any questions or concerns. If i could live without my 8800 for a while i'd RMA it. I presume EVGA modded the bios for it to enable fan control?

I don't the answer to that one. I just know that my EVGA 8800GTS does do auto-fan. I played COD4 today and had RivaTuner running the whole time on a 2nd screen. The highest temp was 84C, and the fan was running at 72%. It started at 60C and 60%. Each time the temp went up, it sped up the fan a little until it was pretty consistent at 84C. The fan never went over 75%.

I seem to remember EVGA saying that the fans did not go to 100 until 85 degrees. This is when I used the fan profiles here.

So with the botched bios it's either 60% or 100% fan speed? If so that would explain why mine sits at 60% all the time. Highest i've seen mine go was 72c.

I was just going to post a blurb about the software and I read the last few posts. So here is the article.

                              http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...7124&Itemid=34

Juneau what I remember from the forums there the fan didn't reach 100 until 85 I am not sure about it only being 60% or 100%. I also remember many people just setting 85% which was a good compromise between with noise and sound.

Paceman did you RMA your card? Also you can set up Rivatuner to post the information on your game screen so you don't need to have it on a second screen. It's kind of like FRAPS in that way.
