    Performance + quality for $1000?

    Alrighty, I have a budget this time
    I want to build my own computer, I have $1000 to do it with... All I'm interested in my first one is the ability to run CoD4 with performance and do basic tasks...
    alrighty, Any suggestions of parts? from the ground up

      Well, top o' the morning', to ya !!! I'd recommend reading Cains thread on a new rig, as we had basically listed everything we'd suggest for you in that one:

      Abit IP35-Pro mainboard
      Intel 8400 CPU
      Corsair 520/620 PSU
      eVGA 8800GTS (512)

      Given another few months, I'd lean towards the Q9450 chip instead, which Duke is running currently. So there's your starter info .... more details to follow.

        I just put together a machine for under $500.00 (Minus CPU) with a few additions you could easily throw in a monitor and a CPU for under $1000.00. Here is the thread that I started while I was selecting the parts.
