This is the cheapest base unit I'd go for. I would make a slight change to the RAM if more funds were made available. You just need to add your choice of suitable case.

What ram would you add?
I maybe able to butter up the resident oldies for an advance XD

I'd probably pick up some Corsair, Kingston or Patriot sticks up. However if the RAM works, the RAM works. It is very, very rare to get incompatibility issues. The Avexir would no doubt be fine.

You can OC. Just not as easy. The resale value would probably be much lower too.

I'm actually considering going back to a dedicated card because I have a lot more sound glitches in games (not just BF4) with on-board than I ever did with dedicated sound. I'm not 100% sure there is a causal relationship here but I figure it could well be a factor.

I switched to a dedicated card after I had some issues with my on board sound, the guys at EVGA suggested that I just go get a cheap dedicated card because the shipping on a RMA would be more. I have a cheapo rocketfish sound card and I use a USB headset for gaming and I haven't had any problems for years.

You'll end up paying more in shipping negating the savings though, won't you?

Depends on how i can order them, batching sometimes works.
For a few quid its not worth it lol.
Im waiting to see if i can get mum pay what i need left.
On terms of cos prob like its a really early birthday.

I went 4GB on the graphics, its only an extra £20 for that...
If i go to the 2GB version and the other mem I can get the SSD...
But if i leave it out just now, I can get the SSD is a few months down the line
Small price to pay just now for a good memory and graphics ram size....

Stock coolers have never been an issue.
I got silver paste i keep spare so will replace the naff pads with that.

Its an extra atm.
