The rice trick has worked for me on an ipod touch 1st gen before, it went through a full cycle in the washer... worked like a charm until i sold it.Comment

Silica gel works better than rice and I believe you can get the stuff in bulk from a gun shop in the event the new one goes swimming.Comment
