    560 Ti

Hey guys, I've got the money right now for an MSI 560 Ti 2GB video card and I'm so tempted to click the purchase button. It's right there! But I don't want to make the same mistake I did with the Turtle Beaches and become disappointed.

From the reviews I've read that the video card can play the game at 1900x1200 with 60+ FPS. This is exactly what I'm looking for. It runs it on ultra as well. I've got the computer to handle it all. It's only the video card that's lacking at the moment. I was wondering if you guys would suggest something else in the price range of $277 since that's what I'm looking to pay for this card. That price is all I can afford at the moment. And I'm going to be pushing it doing that if I click on that submit button.

I would definitely love to hear everyone's impressions.

    Is this the one?

That is probably the best NVIDIA card you can get under $300.
I think you will get better performance out of a Radeon 6950. HEre are a few options:

Gotta agree with DeadAgain about the AMD card.

Yeah Dead, that is the card. I've been wanting to try Nvidia for the past few years which is why I wanted to go with the 560 Ti.

Everyone says it's the best bang for the buck and AMD will always be better performance for the money. I've just been wanting to try Nvidia for the longest time.

Now to do some number crunching and sacrificing for this card haha

Niles, I have the PNY 560 Ti and I've been happy with the performance so far. You will not get 60+ fps on all ultra settings on 1920x1080 with this card. You will get 30+ fps on all ultra with ambient occlusion on the first level (SSO I think?) at 1920x1080.

I am finding with each driver update and with the BF3 client update that my fps performance has been steadily increasing. They just released the 290 beta drivers for the 560 Ti and I was able to bump up settings even more last night.

          I do recommend this card.

agreed. I have an EVGA 560Ti sc at stock clocks with a P2 @ 3.6.

There is also a new 560 TI coming out that has 448 cores.

My friend has to underclock his 560 ti so it doesn't crash in bf3 and skyrim, it's a very common problem, I wouldn't touch that.. partly because I wouldn't downgrade from my 570 though xD

I see it like this, the 560ti is a tweaked version of the 560 chip that milks every ounce of performance out of the GF104 chip. you aren't going to push a lot more voltage or speed from it with an overclock unless it was clocked lower to begin with.

The 6950 2gb, on the other hand, is a capable overclocker, with many of the early 2gb cards being easily unlocked to 6970 speeds, so much so that AMD had to laser cut the dies to prevent every buyer from buying a 6950 and unlocking them all into 6970s.

There is more to work with, depending on with 6950 you buy. The Sapphire Toxic was clearly the best of the bunch with the later batch.

I have that card and it runs the game nice and fine on my older rig.

I do have issues with the 286 drivers, they randomly stop working, my monitor shuts down, things come back up and I'm good to go. Looking forward to a new driver version
[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.

I'm running a 560 Ti with a Q6600 and the game runs fine after a couple fixes and a vid driver roll back.
