What Headsets/mics are you guys using?

Out of curiosity, what are you guys sound setups?

I have been thinking about getting something different and wanted to see what people have. Don't know if going USB headset it a good thing, or stay with 3.5 jack. Want to get a headset with a built in mic. The Zalman is decent, but not that great.

    Mine:

Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro sound card
    JVC HA-RX700 Headphones
    Zalman clip mic

Currently using a Plantronics set that i can't remember the model number of lol. GameCon something.... These and Sennheiser always get my vote. People around here are mad for Logitech, i personally think they sound quite poor.

If you have at least a half decent sound card it's always best to go with the 3.5mm jack imo, and that card is more than half decent.

I use PLANTRONICS GameCom 367 Closed-ear 3.5mm Circumaural Stereo Headset for my sound (maybe the same as juneau?).

I have a big head and they work great where others fail. It's amazingly comfortable and I can wear them for hours with no aching problems or sweating. As far as sound goes they are all right for me. Not sure how they hold up if you're OCD about bass, pitch, and tone for music, but I have zero complaints. They sound just fine.

And for the price you can't go wrong.

+1 to everything Juneau said. I have a Sennheiser headset connected to a PCIe X-Fi Titanium HD, and it sounds tremendous. Positional audio is awesome.

I hated the logitech feel and went with a good speaker system. Went with a microphone that goes around my neck.

I live alone so I went with the logitech Z623

Base is great and subwoofer is big enough to put your feet on. Plus you can hear the heartbeat through your feet.
I think only one person had problems hearing me during beta.

I have the Logitech ClearChat Premium

I like it, it is a simple headset with good sound quality. I have microphone/speaker outputs on the front of my computer case so it is easy for me to plug in.

One advantage to the 3.5mm is that you can plug-in just the mic if you want and still use your speakers. I do this a lot when the wife isn't home and just set the headset around my neck.

There is a volume control on the cable which is also handy since it sits in your lap.

Just had a check and found the box. I have the GameCon 377. They look identical to yours. No idea what the difference is. edit: Would appear the main difference is that the 377 are open ear, not closed ear.

I too love how comfortable they are no matter how long i wear them, and i have a small head.

I've used them for listening to music at my PC (mainly rock genres) and they're almost as good as my Shure e2c and Grado SR80i that i use with my Cowon J3

Slice, I have my eyes on the Fatal1ty headset you own. Apparently there are two versions of it out, and they go for around $30 on Ebay for a new set, so I may just pick up a set for that price. Interested in hearing what you think about them.

I'm been using an old MS Sidewinder GameVoice setup (minus the hockey puck at this point since I don't game online) but the Plantronics Audio 60's that come with that setup have lasted me over 6 years until this week when the ear pads finally fell apart.
