Does anyone have any information on Powernotebooks.com?

These guys seem to have the ability to upgrade many of the components that you can't if you buy elsewhere. I haven't heard of them and was wondering if anyone here has or knows someone that has had an experience with them.

Indeed, very curious as thats one reason why I havent bought a laptop is lack of upgrades. Would be nice if its possible. Would really like to get a good gaming system to take offshore but just cant quite swallow the large price tag it requires to get what I want. Where as if I can slowly upgrade over time its a lot easier on the budget.

Yea, I bought 2 from them. They shipped em to Iraq too. They are ok. The only thing was once you have the system, you cant order any parts later from them directly. I tried to get a video card and a new screen from them and they directed my to the Mfg. somewhere out in Ca.

The parts werent defective, I busted the screen when I closed a thumbdrive cap inside one night, and the video card went out to defective drivers from Nvidia. Wouldnt start the fan on the card and it smoked it.

Other than that, they are ok to deal with. Good quality stuff. I bought the Sagers on the Clevo chassis.

The problem with most of them is the CPU. The 2630 is just too slow I'm looking for the 2860 that will turbo up to 3.6. I don't care about battery life as I plug in to get my game on.

I wish I could find some good benchmarks that will give me an idea how BF3 will play an them.

            How about this place? http://www.xoticpc.com/

I keep searching for the perfect match of power and price. I just can't find the right match yet. I really want one of those 120Mhz screens.

Bought one from them too. Not too shabby. But the same thing on the parts. They really dont handle warranty issues it seems. You might want to clarify that before you buy. But good machines.
