Gaming headphones ??

Does the logitech have mic and headphones?

The G35 and G930s mentioned in this thread are both complete gaming headsets which provide great sound and Mic. I'm sure the other brands are also good quality.

I use speakers and a mic. Just set my headset around my neck and then use just the mic. I have not gotten any complaints about background noise.

Could be because I dont talk a lot, or because i dont play with the game that loud.

I guess you're using speakers? If so, whenever you use your mic we're going to get some serious feedback and volume coming through from the game, and depending on game volume we'll hear more of the game than you.

I've only ever played with a couple of ppl that use the speakers + mic combo and tbh it annoyed me. Thankfully it was random players and not a CLR that i would consistantly play with.

i believe, the new turtle beach i have has a sound recognizing system where it only records your voice and sends that not the background noise ive tested this with friends with loud music on and they could barely hear the music just me when i talked (black ops zombies) so it has advanced you just need the right software like the software news crews use to record only voice not all the background noise and it works quite welll ps. i always ..ALWAYS have music on but people never say anything about it only a few have mentioned it so something is working

You come through very clear and no background noise. Unless you count the noises I make on mic as you kill me for the umpteenth time in the round.

Actually I use speakers and Mic, its an uhhhhhh cheap logitech mic I bought waaaay back like 8 years ago lol. Never had anyone complain about feedback and its right by the speakers

OK the question no one has asked Cain: what are you using for your sound? Do you have a good sound card, or are you using the onboard? If you are using onboard, I would go with a good USB headset like the Logitech ones. Plantronics and Sennheiser also make good USB headsets. If you have a good sound card like an X-Fi, etc, I would go with Sennheisers. That is what I am using right now, and it is great. You can also get 5.1 headsets, but I haven't tried those to see if they are better than the simulated 5.1 I get from my X-Fi.

Turtle Beach used to make pretty high end sound cards. On the edge of consumer and pro studio stuff. Then they were bought out by Voyetra. If your an old enough gamer that name might ring a bell. Rossy are you sure you run some code to mute everything other than your voice? The reason I ask is they can also build the mic to be sensitive to close sounds only. Thats the diff between a omni and directional mic. I mean it wouldn't surprise me if they made some software. It would basically analyze the wave form and drop everything above or below a human voice.
