Finally Accomplished

Wel Ive been trying to OC my rig to 4ghz and I think I got it finally... Prime has been running for close to an hour now with no issues. 2 of my 4 cores are running warm but I think a clean and re application of paste will fix it. Gonna continue stress testing for a few hours more

Congrats on 4.0. Your timing is amazing as I was just about to post that I fixed some of my thermal issues and was able to get to 3.4 from 3.2 without exceeding 80 Degrees. Before this I would have to turn off prime to prevent it from going above 100. I achieved this by redirecting my HSF out the top of my case in addition to reducing a few of my voltage settings. I ran Prime along with an EVGA GPU test and my temps were good. I may be able to squeeze a bit more out if i disabled Turbo and HT but thats for another day.

Thats cool Zantheus. It took me a bit of tweaking to get 4ghz stable too. Man the I7s seem to run so much hotter than the I5s, I wonder why

Yea when I run IntelBurn Stress Tesst Im running around 90C under full load....also, I have 12gb OCZ Reaper 1866 RAM but it is only running at 1526 so Im goin to do some research and see how I can get it running at its full capacity
