      Well he is not quite sold on it yet. I was able to get his rig up and running after finding a bad stick of ram but it is still SLOW. (I could never work on slow PCs for a living.) He did say that if it crashes again he would think real hard about it so I'm hoping it does. The guy worked for IBM for 40.5 years and we were the first kids on the block with a PC so it would be nice to see him in something speedy.

        Yeah, my dad's computer is slow as molasses now. I can't stand it when I am visiting him. I guess you get used to it...

          Maybe he might enjoy a laptop more? We got my dad a nice Acer for Christmas and he loves it (he has an aging P4 as well).

          Funny, he got a case for it on e-bay... was upset because the case only had a 25 year warranty (he'll be 75 this year).

              All of the older generations say they dont need this, or that is a waste of money blah blah blah... As soon as you get it running for him and he sees it in acton, I bet he'll love it
