really hot GPU's..

well, at least i think so. i am running 2 8600 gts's in SLI( i know there are better cards yadda yadda, not the time for that now) GPU 1 is running at 75-80C under load, GPU 2 is about 7-8 degres less, i am guess that this is because it isnt inbetwen the two cards.
I have pretty good flow, and i checked to se if there is an obstruction, or the fan not working. none found. Is this hot or normal for a card under load?

I had the same problem but I bought this and it solved my problem with the cards overheating.

80c is fine as long as your ambient temps have risen quite a bit. Which i presume it has as it's summer. If the temps are similar in 2 months or so then you may have an airflow issue.

well, it was hotter than hell when i was initially reading those temps. Right now with he cooler morning air, i am running 64/59C non load.
I also felt stupid for not having even tried to google the same question first. Upon reading, it seems that folks sometimes hitting 100C isnt out of the ordinary. i hope to never reach those temps, as i live at altitude, so thats actually hotter than boiling water.

Get your hands on EVGA Precision Tool and you can manually set your fan speeds. I turn mine down when im just surfing and turn them up when im gaming. It also has OC future and temp monitoring.
