Ok dont know if this should go here or not but i have unistalled and reinstalled CSS(counter strike source) multiple times and every time i go to open it it errors out on me cant quite remember what the error is but once i finish reinstalling it and try to open it again ill let u know. something about error reading memory or something along those lines I know my mem on the comp is good still have my 4gs all working no problems with my HD or any other part of the comp. Any other suggestions? Thanks to all in advanced.

Does it say verifying steamID or something like that?? Thats what i just had and i just restarted steam.

You could try (if u have a username and password on steam) closing it and re entering your username and password.

Ok Unistall the game then go to the steam folder then delete the CSS folder and then re download the game this should fix the problem.

the error its givin is the Platform Error: moduel failed to load then the mem error thing. but ill try what u said and see if it works ghost.

I had the same problem as you with Left4Dead amd this how I fixed mate hope it works for u

well didnt work when i did that but it works now for some reason. I reinstalled xp after a format and just copied the steam folder onto my external hd then recopied on to reg hd and now it works fine kinda funny if u ask me but meh it works. thnx for the help
