I have had an issue crop up on my computer that is really annoying. I talked about this on another thread, so some of you may remember reading about it.
I have 3 user account on my computer. All have admin access.
1. My main user account
2. My wife's user account
3. My "gaming" account. I only used it for playing games and reduced the things that get loaded at startup.
Well, a while back my system started hanging when I would log in to the gaming account. I could log into the other two with no problems, but almost every time I logged into the gaming account it would hang.
I messed around a bit trying to figure out what was going on, but got tired of messing with it and just started using my main user account for gaming. I have 4GB of memory and a pretty good CPU, so I doubt the extra processes really affect that much...
About a week ago, my main account started doing the same thing, sort of. It occasionally hangs when I log in, but not nearly as often as the other one did. Another difference is that almost every time it hangs the system year gets changed to 2020! I then have to go into BIOS setup and change it or change it after booting back into Windows.
Someone in the other thread suggested that something might be wrong with the registry, so I tried a few registry cleaning utilities, but to no avail. Any other suggestions? I am running Vista x64 Ultimate.
