    You nailed it, this is a mistake I won't make twice if I can help it. Unfortunately, these "communities" seem to be everywhere!

    Being told what to do and how to live on your own property, the American Dream, right?!

      Sorry, but I would tell them to shove it. That isn't what I fight for. If I buy a house, you bet i'm gonna work on my car in the garage, or on the driveway instead of tanking it to the dealership if I have to. Something as simple as an oil change... shesh... If "they" (they being the people or company selling the house) want the money badly enough (and right now I would say so) then they can certinally drop that whole part out or else (IMO) the deal is off!

        I agree totally. I hate how communities are imposing all of these rules so the communities will supposedly look better. Its my property so if I wanna do something legal on it, I should be able to.

                If you have an attached garage your cool....they can't do anything. If you have a carport your screwed.... legeally speaking
