Lego loses exclusivity of making bricks

Yeah, it's all in dutch...gonna have to find a translator. But basically, other people can make "Lego" bricks now.

How can one make a brand-name-stamped block if they're not that company? This is probably a patent expiration that allows it, but Mega Bloks or someone stamping "Lego" on each stud is just WRONG.

The basic design of the brick has already been copied by lesser companies. Perhaps they get the "true" formula now that gives them better quality, but they still ain't Lego.

P.S. I bought the Ferrari FXX set at Toys R Us last week when it was 25% off. It's an awesome set. Looks very cool, but was a much faster build than I was expecting on a 650 piece model with lots of details and interactive parts.

if i mind logo have a paitant on desgin of the block.

you can get other blocks that work with lego but no 100%, either too losse or tight.

So reckon now this will allow ppl to make compatable sets.
