Screen shoot help on steam

Can some one please tell how to take screes shots on steam I have tryed Print screen and it dose not work so please some on help me and can you tell me where the SS get saved to on steam.

I know its not specific to the same or what ever you need it for but, they are the same usually if its a valve source engine game.
