A big reason why I don't get hyped about sports

Most of these guys are nothing more than ignorant mercenaries...rarely even from the state they play in. Why folks get into heated arguments over the merits of their local (professional) teams is beyond me.

Knowing that he is a role model and being paid millions for it should make him wise enough not to make "mistakes" like that...and if you read his history, he's made more. Anyway, I believe it's just his philosophy that he is stating when he bashes the Anthem, not a mistake, in which case he should find another country that will pay him millions to dribble a ball. He doesn't seem to understand the opportunity he has.

Once again... why only focus on the negatives? It always seems like if your good at a sport, unless you get caught for steroids or make a slip up you dont really get noticed. What you're saying you've never made a bad mistake that technically should never of even happened in the first place?

um excuse me I speak slang....I believe the athlete was trying to say that as a black person he feels disenfranchised by the United States of America. While I don't agree with his way of showing that I can sometimes see his point
