At least they are trying to get exercise. Why don't people just stick to real life swimming. I do that everyday I can and I still consider myself to play too much WoW... even though Ironically that game sickens me... I don't see how people can play so much of it.

I really don't get this. The game is boring as hell. You walk around with horrible graphics (I know, it's not meant to have realistic graphics, but cmon, I like real looking things like in Oblivion). How are so many people playing this game? Running around mining was fun, but I hit 300 in 3 days while playing for about 2 hours just searching for mines.

I've been playing for about 2-3 months now and am I misely level 37 that can get owned by a dog.

The PvP aspect was horribly boring. I walk around Tanaris and get owned by alliance members... presenting no honor to them, and they 1 hit kill me.

And when I fight someone my level... I guess I have to be level 70... because the fight ends in about 5 seconds... most the time my minion owning them.


I like Warcraft 3, but I really fail to see how people SPEND THEIR LIVES ON THIS GAME.

Simple - About half the game is getting to 70, and doing everything on the way (aka, a few hundred hours), then the other half is doing everything at 70, which is a hella lot more than gettin to 70. People really want certain things in the game, and they go for them, even though it may take literally days of play.
still it's pretty sickenin to see people actually try and run across it??? I was sucked in pretty hard for a while, about 50% less sucked in than most WoW players..... I feel bad for ppl sucked in. especially those 2

The "horrible" graphics are why they have 15 million subscribers. Not everyone has a gaming PC. You also can't run cutting edge graphics in a game that has to draw potentially hundreds of characters on the screen at one time. Plus, they have extremely talented artists that work wonders with the few polygons they have to play with. Contrast that with Oblivion, which did gorgeous landscapes but had characters that looked awful. One good character artist could have made that game so much more beautiful.

You're doin' it wrong. I play maybe 4-5 hours a week, started playing again about two months ago, and I have a 64 and a couple of 20s.

I don't like WoW's PVP either but because it's too gear-dependent and I don't play enough to be competitive. But I don't play it for the PVP so it doesn't bother me. I treat it as one really, really big solo RPG for the most part, where if I want to play with other people I can, but don't have to.

Most of the people that play do not spend their lives on the game. In fact, I bet most of them spend less time in WoW than quite a few regulars here do playing shooters.

If you don't like it, then don't play it. But for the love of all that's holy, stop complaining about it so much. I'm starting to think someone from Blizzard ran over your dog or impregnated your sister the way you go on about it.

I don't play the game, I just would like to know why people spend their lives on this game. Supposedly a guy at a coffee shop collapsed to death because he played WoW for 6 days straight, no sleep and junk food with tons of caffeine. Another kid committed suicide because he got "hacked" and lost all his gold. Another one wrote death threats to a real life person that beat him in a PvP battle.

wouldn't be surprised if there are people like that.... hell, a guy in my old guild told everyone his mother just died and that he was quitting WoW to do something with his life and gave his email to his friends. He never got a peep from them. It's a crack game. In my opinion the majority play from sunup till sundown. Those who don't.... aren't really playing. I remember that I spent a full weekend, getting up early and goin to bed late just playing before I quit..
