I use Foxit for PDFs. It's free and lightweight. Adobe is pretty dang annoying.

Most auto-updaters are annoying too but most folks would never get updates without them.

I absolutely HATE iTunes and pretty much all Apple software. It's simply terrible. My wife got an iPod a few years back for Christmas. We only buy DRM free music from Amazon, most of the music in her library is ripped from CDs we own though. There are 3rd party software programs to interface with your iPod that do a LOT better job than iTunes & there is no DRM nonsense. There is also a 3rd party QuickTime clone that lets you view QTime media without having that bloated monstrosity that Apple develops.

I think RealPlayer has to be the #1 most annoying software of all time though.

Microsoft Office 2007. It needs to die. Badly.

RealPlayer is definitely the worst. If something is only available through RealPlayer, then I'm not interested. I haven't had that POS installed in years.

Acrobat's updates are definitely annoying for the casual user. I use it professionally so mine is always up to date, but whenever anyone else in the building opens it, there's always an update or 6 waiting.
