    The whole "Making $1,000's Blogging"

I'm sure you've seen people with these blogs, in fact, even know some.

You know if these people are just scammers or legit and actually making the money they CLAIM to be making?

The whole "Make 1,000 bucks in a week!" deal?

I'm not sure exactly what the revenue streams are but I'm sure if you were popular enough, you could sell advertising for atleast that much.

Pretty much that. You either pull in $$s through advertising or selling products. There is no real in between.

There are 1000s of bloggers out there, and its pretty damn hard to differentiate yours from theirs. You really need a niche.

If it was the easy everyone would do it and there would be no money in it ...

Yeah, got a friend of mine who got me into it, I got "in's" because hes just giving me some of his resources (while he sells a Wordpress Template for 150.00 bucks to other people)

Apparently, if you get enough websites, enough traffic...basically, I su ppose the "Shot gun" approach, higher the numbers, the higher the chances you'lll make the money

Apparently he's doing well, and also has his 5 year old participating recently as well. And he' susing HER as a gimmick to market.

"My FIVE year old is now blogging and making money!" <shrug>

So I guess it's working for him.

MOST people who do this, make just enough money to pay their monthly domain hosting fee.

High Traffic websites are primary targets for companies who sell related products. When I authored a website for a hunting magazine, the magazine company made 30,000 a year for a 1 page advertisement and a couple of articles every two months for Hornady Ammunition. I could not believe how easy it was.

It'd be like Cain contacting Nvidia (or vice versa depending on your site's popularity) and offering to host some advertising for their products in return for free hardware or a monthly article (not a review). Usually, if the site is seen as popular enough and ranks high on search engines, people/companies WILL pay top dollar for advertising.

Yeah, another method is "viral marketing", where you , I du nno, trickle in ways to get people to come to your site.
