I have a friend who has a friend at Plantronics. He mentioned to me they were looking for a few more folks to test a 5.1 surround headset out. So I said sure and that I was a QA tester for a living. Looks like I get a brand new shinny headset.

Sweet! Do me a favor and do a test for me. I have had two pairs and both seem to drop the Bass in games when set to 5.1. If you were to face a tank it would sound normal but if you turned around you could only hear the high pitch sounds. Nah although I do get asked that. The story of my nick goes way back to when I was 9. I was swimming in the pool with some friends. My dad ended up yelling at me " Matthew blah blah blah". My friend who had water in his ear heard "Mapuge blah blah blah" (pronounced Maypeeugh). It got shortened to Mapes. Alkthough I do respect the ShadoutComment
