Thanks for all the support, it's certainly going to be interesting.

I went to the orientation earlier this week and we got to meet the staff and our classmates... the guy that's going to be leading PT everyday was a Marine K9 handler, so I expect it to be pretty intense.

Yeah, I've been running and working out, but I think I still going to be getting my rear kicked the first several weeks, at least until I get used to the pace. I'm breaking in a new pair of running shoes now, since I was warned that it's possible to go through multiple pairs during the course of the academy.

As for duty weapon selection, I've got no choice on that one, I have to carry what I'm going to be issued, a Glock 22.

I am a little disappointed, I'll have to drive the Crown Vics during the driving portions, while others will get to drive Chargers, since that is what their agency uses.

At least I'll finally be able to save up enough money to buy the parts for a new computer I have a feeling that I'll need it to help "decompress" after work some days.
